Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Own Technologies, a company incorporated in the Cayman Islands ("we", "us"), handles information in connection with the Own Finance website and interface (the "Interface"). The Interface is non-custodial and requires no account: we do not ask for your name, email address, or identity documents, and we collect as little information as the Interface needs to function.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following limited categories of information:

  • Blockchain data: the wallet addresses you connect and the transactions you sign are recorded on public blockchains. This data is public by design and is not created or controlled by us.
  • Technical data: standard information sent by your browser, such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the Interface.
  • Usage analytics: aggregated, non-identifying metrics about how the Interface is used, which help us improve it.
  • Information you provide voluntarily: anything you send us directly, for example through support requests or community channels.

We do not collect KYC information, and we do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data.

3. How we use information

  • to operate, maintain, and improve the Interface;
  • to monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • to comply with applicable legal obligations; and
  • to understand aggregate usage so we can prioritize what to build.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies and local storage

The Interface uses local storage and, where applicable, cookies to remember your preferences (such as selected assets or dismissed notices) and to keep the Interface working smoothly. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • with service providers that help us run the Interface, such as hosting, RPC, and analytics providers, who process it only on our behalf;
  • when required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganization of the Company, in which case this Policy continues to apply.

6. Blockchain data is public

Transactions on public blockchains are permanent, public, and outside our control. Once you broadcast a transaction, we cannot modify or delete it, and anyone can associate your wallet address with its onchain activity. Consider this before interacting with any onchain protocol, including Own.

7. Retention

We retain technical and usage data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Information you provide voluntarily is kept for as long as needed to handle your request.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. No system is perfectly secure, and you use the Interface at your own risk. Your wallet and private keys are always under your sole control, and their security is your responsibility.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Because we hold very little, most requests can be resolved quickly: contact us through our official channels and we will respond to reasonable requests. Note that we cannot delete data recorded on public blockchains.

10. Children

The Interface is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.

12. Contact

Questions about this Policy can be raised through our official channels listed on the website.
